What is Art Therapy?

Art Therapy is a form of therapy where you can use art materials to express and process emotions. There is no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ way of art making in art therapy, and it can look very different for everyone.

What does a session look like?

What we do in a session depends entirely on the individual, but it typically includes:

Meeting Weekly: art therapy sessions typically take place once a week at the same day and time

Making Art: In art therapy you can draw, paint, and make things. This can provide a way to:

  • Share emotions

  • Think about how you are feeling

  • Tell stories

  • Regulate

    Or just create!
